Day 6

I made my way from Eureka up the big mountain pass. The pass was not much fun and seemed to take forever. After I had crested the pass the map said, "glorious descent into wild country." Well the decent wasn't that glorious. It was a little short before you had to do another little climb, and then another decent. Then I stopped at a little campground called Tuchuck campgroud. It felt like I was in the middle of nowhere again. I tried stringing up my food bags so the bears wouldn't get them. They ended only about 8 feet off the ground so probably if a bear really wanted to get them he could, but I was too tired to care. I really don't like camping in the middle of nowhere. I ran into the Bethel boys again. They tried to help me with my water filter, but to no avail. Hopefully I can get it figured out in Whitefish.
